Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has published a notification at its official website bpsc.bih.nic.in for recruitment to 6061 positions of Head Master in Higher Secondary Schools, under Education Department and SC & ST Welfare Department, Govt of Bihar. Candidate can register & submit online application from 11th March 2024 to 2nd April 2024.

Education Qualifications
Candidate must have passed a Post Graduate Degree with at least 50% marks (minimum marks required is 45% for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Extremely Backward Classes/ Backward Classes/ PwD/ Women/ EWS Candidates). Candidate must also have completed a B.Ed./ B.A. Ed./ B.Sc. Ed. Degree.
Experience Requirement
Candidate must have working experience as follows:
a) Secondary Teacher:
- Applicant should have a worked in State Government Schools affiliated with Panchayati Raj or Municipal Body Institution for continuous period of minimum of 8 years
- Minimum 12 years in Schools with permanent affiliation from CBSE/ ICSE/ BSEB.
b) Higher Secondary Teacher:
- Minimum 04 years in government schools affiliated with Panchayati Raj or Municipal Bodies.
- Minimum 10 years in schools with permanent affiliation from CBSE/ICSE/BSEB.
Scale of Pay
Candidates appointed for Head Master post will receive a starting salary of Rs. 35,000/- per month.
Age limit (As on 1st August 2023)
The minimum age limit required in 31 years and maximum age limit for Head Master post is 47 years for Unreserved, 50 years for EBC/ BC (Male/ Female), 50 years for Women (Unreserved) and 52 years for SC/ ST as on 1st August 2023.

Selection Process
Eligible candidates who meet the education and experience requirements as per their Education Qualification/ Experience will be invited for a Written Test (Which will be an Objective Type – Multiple Choice Questions). The final merit list will be prepared based on scores obtained by candidates in the Written Test.
Application Fee
Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) / PwD candidates (with minimum 40% disability), all women candidates of Bihar state (Reserved/ Unreserved) will be required to pay application fee of Rs. 200/- and while application fees of Rs. 750/- will be paid by all other candidates applying for the post of Head Master. Fee can be pay through Net banking / Credit Card or Debit card option at the time of submission of online application at the portal.

Eligible applicants can register & apply online through website of Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) bpsc.bihar.gov.in which will start from 11th March and continue till 2nd April 2024. Candidates must fill all the necessary information and upload any required documents at online application. After final submission of application/ application fee, candidate can download or print a copy of the completed form for records.
