Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Central Railway (CR) has announced a notification regarding engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961, for 2424 posts in various trades at Workshops/ Units under the Central Railway. Eligible candidates can apply online from 16th July 2024 to 15th August 2024.

Educational Qualifications
The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under the 10+2 examination system) with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board. Candidate must also hold a National Trade Certificate in the relevant trade.

Age Limit (as on 15.07.2024)
Minimum age limit for candidates is 15 years of age and upper age should be less than 24 years of age as on 15th July 2024.
Stipend
Candidates selected for Act Apprentices will be paid stipend of Rs. 7000 per month. In the second year of apprenticeship training, there will be a 10% increase in the minimum stipend amount, and 15% increase in the third year of apprenticeship training.
Selection Process
Selection for apprentices will be based on a merit list prepared for all candidates who apply in response to the notification. The merit list will be compiled based on the percentage of marks obtained in matriculation (with at least 50% aggregate marks) combined with the ITI marks in the trade in which apprenticeship is to be done.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100 (Indian Rupees one hundred only). The fee must be paid online via the payment gateway using debit card / credit card / Internet Banking / SBI Challan etc. during the online application process. After completing the online application on the RRC/CR’s official website www.rrccr.com, candidates will be redirected to the payment gateway on SBI’s website to make the payment.

Candidates must apply ONLINE at official RRC/CR website www.rrccr.com from 16th July 2024 to 15th August 2024. Candidates need to log on to the RRC/CR website www.rrccr.com to fill out the ONLINE application, providing personal details and BIO-DATA carefully. Detailed instructions for completing the ONLINE application will be available on the website.
