The Education Department, Chandigarh Administration, has published a notification to fill 303 vacancies of Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) (Masters/Mistresses) on a regular basis for the year 2024. Candidates can register & apply online from 26th February 2024 to 18th March 2024.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2024):
- Minimum 21 years and maximum 37 years as on 1st January 2024. Relaxation will be applicable as per rules.
Educational Qualifications (Subject/ Discipline wise):
- General Science/Social Science/Mathematics:
- (i) Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline/subject with a minimum of 50% marks
- (ii) Bachelor of Education or equivalent degree with Science/Mathematics or B.Sc. B.Ed. (04 years) course
- (iii) Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test qualified for the post of Master/Mistresses
- English/Hindi/Punjabi/Sanskrit:
- (i) Bachelor’s degree in the relevant discipline/subject with a minimum of 50% marks
- (ii) Bachelor of Education or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline
- (iii) Central Teacher’s Eligibility Test qualified for the post of Master/Mistresses
- Physical Education:
- (i) Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% marks
- (ii) D.P.Ed. / B.P.Ed. with a minimum of 50% marks or an Integrated degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.)
- Fine Arts:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) or relevant qualification with a minimum of 50% marks
- Home Science:
- (i) Bachelor of Science (Home Science) or a relevant qualification with a minimum of 50% marks
- (ii) Bachelor of Education degree having Home Science/Domestic Science as a teaching subject
- Music:
- (i) Bachelor’s degree with Music as an elective subject. (ii) Bachelor of Education degree having Music as a teaching subject OR Graduation in any subject with a Degree in Music

Selection Process:
- Objective type Written test (English/Hindi) of 150 marks will be conducted for the selection of posts.
- A merit list will be prepared, and candidates will be called for the Scrutiny of original documents. Please check the official notification for a detailed syllabus.
Application Fee:
- Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 1000/- (which is 500/- for Scheduled Caste candidates) through an online medium up to 21st March 2024. No fees for Persons with disability (PwD) candidate.
