Eligibility Criteria
a) Judicial Member: Candidate should fulfill one of following eligibility criteria:
(1) Candidate has been a Judge of the High Court OR
2) District Judge/ Additional District Judge with combined experience of 10 years of OR (3) Candidate as an advocate for 10 years of substantial experience in litigation in matters relating to indirect taxes.
b) Technical Member (Centre): (1) Candidate has been a member of Indian Revenue Service Group A (Customs and Indirect Tax).
(2) Officers with minimum 25 years’ experience in Group A in Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Tax)
or of All India Service with at least 03 years’ experience in the administration of an existing law or goods and service tax in the Central Government.
c) Technical Member (State): (1) Candidate who has been an officer of State Government OR All India Service with minimum rank of Additional Commissioner of Value Added Tax/ State Goods and Service Tax of SGST Or such rank not lower than that of First appellate authority and completed 25 years of service in Group A or equivalent
Scale of Pay/ Salary
Candidates selected on posts will be paid fixed salary of Rs. 2,25,000/- per month.
Age limit (As on 31st March 2024)
Minimum age limit required for all posts is 50 years and maximum age limit is 67 years as on 31st March 2024.

Period of Appointment
Candidates will be appointed initially for a period of four years and maybe eligible for reappointment of two years (subject to maximum age limit of 67 years).
Selection Process
Applications will be scrutinised by Search-cum-Selection committee based on relevant educational qualifications and experiences of the candidates. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal interaction by the committee.
