Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published a recruitment notification to fill 1930 vacancies of Nursing Officer in Employees State Insurance Corporation, Ministry of Labour & Employment. Educational Qualifications
For Degree holders: (i) Candidate may possess one of these qualifications: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. – Hons.) in Nursing/ B.Sc. Nursing regular course/ Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
(ii) Candidate should be registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife with State Nursing council.
For Diploma holders: (i) Candidate must possess a Diploma in General Nursing Mid-Wifery.
(ii) Candidate should be registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife with State Nursing council.
(iii) Candidate must have one year experience in hospital (with minimum fifty bedded) post qualification.

Age Limit
Minimum age limit for all categories is 18 years and upper age limit is 30 years for Unreserved/ Economically Weaker Sections (EWSs) candidates. Upper age limit is 33 years for Other Backward Classes (OBCs); 35 years for SC/ ST candidates and 40 years for PwBDs.
Scale of Pay
Candidates selected on Nursing Officer will receive salary in Level- 07 of the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.
Selection Process
UPSC will conduct a pen & paper-based Recruitment Test (RT) for the selection of Nursing Officer posts. Test will be conducted on 7th July 2024 in various centres across the country. Candidates shortlisted from Recruitment Test will then be invited for a Skill test(s). The details of date of Skill Test(s) will be shared by UPSC later at its website. Application Fee
Application fees of Rs. 25/- (Twenty-five Rupees) is required to be pay by the applications either through depositing cash at any State Bank of India (SBI) branch or fee can be pay online using net banking of any bank, or by using Visa/Master/Rupay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI payment option. No fee charges for Female/ SC/ ST/ Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates.

Eligible candidates can register and submit online application at official Online Application website of UPSC https://www.upsconline.nic.in from 7th March 2024 to 27th March 2024 (6.00 P.M.). Candidates are not required to upload any document except photograph, signature and ID proof during filling up the on-line application.
