The Indian Navy has released a notification regarding 10+2 B Tech Cadet Entry Scheme (Permanent Commission) course commencing January 2025. Unmarried Indian male and female candidates who have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2024 exam (for B.E./ B. Tech) can apply to become Permanent Commissioned Officers in Executive and Technical branches after completing a four-year B.Tech course at the esteemed Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala. The last date to submit online application is 20th July 2024.

Educational Qualifications
Candidate must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) examination with at least 70% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) along with a minimum of 50% marks in English (in either Class X or Class XII).
Selection Process
Selection for Permanent Commissioned Officers will be made through SSB Interviews. Candidates will be shortlisted for SSB Interview based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2024.

Educational Qualifications/ Musical Ability
(i) Candidate must have passed Matriculation examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
(ii) The candidate must demonstrate proficiency and aptitude in music, showing accuracy in tempo, pitch, and the ability to sing a complete song. Additionally, they should possess practical skills on any musical instrument, whether of Indian or foreign origin.
(iii) Candidate must possess a Musical Experience certificate as follows:
- Candidates performing Hindustani or Carnatic Classical music on wind instruments must provide a musical experience certificate from a recognized musical institute or reputable organization.
- A music certificate from a nationally or internationally recognized music institute, such as TCL, RSM, KM Music Conservatory, Bangalore School of Music, TSM, or GMI, is mandatory for candidates performing western notation or western music on wind instruments.
- Other candidates must submit certificates of participation or awards from various events.
Scale of Pay/ Allowances
Selected candidates will be paid ₹30,000 per month having fixed yearly increment along with risk & hardship, dress and travel allowances.
Duration of Service & Enrolment as Sailors
Agniveers will be enrolled in the Indian Navy as junior most rank for a period of four years. After four years of service, based on requirements, performance and policies, Agniveers will get an opportunity to apply for permanent enrolment as sailor in the Indian Navy.
Selection Process
There will be two stages for selection of Agniveer (MR – Musician): Stage-I Preliminary Screening Test (Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Music Screening Test and Recruitment Medical Examination) and Stage-II Final Screening.
Based on marks received in 10th, candidates holding a valid Musical Certificate will be shortlisted for Stage-I Preliminary Screening. Candidates qualifying in Stage I – Preliminary Screening will be called for Stage-II Final Screening.
