Educational Qualifications

a. Candidate must hold a medical qualification recognized by the Indian Medical Council.

b. Candidate must hold a Postgraduate qualification, such as an MD in concerned specialty from an Indian University/Institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

c. The candidate should have registration with the State Medical Council/MCI.

Age Limit (as on 15.07.2024)

Upper age limit for Assistant Professor post is 60 years as on 15th July 2024. Upper age limit is relaxable as per the Govt. guidelines.

Scale of Pay

Candidates selected for Assistant Professor will receive salary as per pay scale ₹1,01,500 – ₹1,67,400 (Pay Level-12 in Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC).

Selection Process

A Scrutiny committee will review the applications received within the specified date and time, along with the required fee. Only eligible candidates will be invited for a personal interview before the Institute’s Standing Selection Committee.

Candidates can visit any branch of State Bank of India with the duly filled fee payment challan and pay the prescribed application fee into the “Power Jyoti” PUL current account of PGIMER. The account number of PGIMER for recruitment is 35700657347. After depositing the fee, candidates must ensure they have the triplicate fee payment challan with the Journal No./Challan No. provided by the bank.

How to Apply

First, eligible applicants can visit the website at www.pgimer.edu.in to generate the challan form and application form. After entering the basic details on the website, candidates can take the print of the application form and challan. The application form should be filled out in BLOCK LETTERS. The challan form for the application will be available on the PGI website from 25th June 2024 to 10th July 2024 (23:59 hours), after which the link will be disabled.

Candidates are required to fill application form available on the website. After completing the application form, candidates should deposit the application fee using the challan form (Triplicate) at any branch of SBI. Closing date to deposit the application fee in the bank is 12th July 2024.

After submission of application fee, application in the prescribed format along with attested copies of certificates supporting educational qualifications, experience, age/date of birth, and a No Objection Certificate from the current employer (if employed), and one copy of the challan form should be sent by registered post, Speed Post, or delivered personally at The Administrative Officer, Recruitment Cell, PGIMER, Chandigarh – 160012. The closing date for receiving offline applications (hard copies) is 15th July 2024, 04:00 PM.
