Punjab Police has published a notification inviting applications for 1676 vacancies of Police Constable in District and Armed cadre of Punjab Police. Online registration for the applications will start from 14th, March 2024 and will continue till 4th, April 2024.

Educational Qualifications for Constable Posts
Candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Education Board/University. For Ex-Servicemen applying for Constable (District and Armed Police cadre) positions, minimum Matriculation qualification is required.
Further, all candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th Class examination with Punjabi as either a compulsory/ elective subject or alternatively, candidate have passed an equivalent exam in Punjabi approved by the Punjab government, on or before January 1st, 2024.
Physical Standards
Candidates must meet the following minimum height requirements for Constable posts:

Scale of Pay/ Salary
Candidates selected for Constable post will be paid minimum pay of Rs.19,900/- per month for three years from the start date of joining in service.
Age limit (As on 1st January 2024)
Candidate must be at least 18 years old and upper age limit is 28 years as of January 1st, 2024, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Backward Classes (BC) categories of Punjab. Selection Process
Selection for Constable posts will be made through three stages of Selection process:
Stage-I: In Stage-I, there will be two Common Computer Based (CBT) papers viz. Paper-I and Paper-II. It will be a Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) type Paper. Paper-II shall be qualifying in nature.
Stage-II: In Stage-II, there will be Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measurement Test (PMT) which both are qualifying in nature.
Stage-III: In Stage-III, candidates will be called for Scrutiny of the documents.
