South Eastern Railway (SER), Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), Kolkata has issued a notification for General Departmental Competitive Examination-2024 to fill 1202 vacancies of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) & Trains Manager. Only eligible regular servicing employees of South Eastern Railway can apply online from 13th May 2024 to 12th June 2024.

Educational Qualifications
a) Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP): (i) Candidate must have passed Matriculation/ SSLC. (ii) Candidate must also have ITI/ Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in concerned trade. OR Candidate have three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering.
(b) Trains Manager (Good Guard): Candidate must possess any Degree from recognized university or its equivalent.
Age Limit
Maximum age limit is 42 years for General category, 45 years for OBC candidates and 47 years for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) as on 1st July 2024.

Selection Process
Selection process will consist of Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Aptitude Test (only for ATP post), Document Verification, and Medical Examination.
Examination Fee
There is no examination fee required to be paid by any candidates for applying for General Departmental Competitive Examination-2024.
