Educational Qualifications
a) Junior Engineer (Civil): (i) Candidate must possess Engineering Degree/ Diploma (03 years) in Civil Engineering. (ii) Candidate must have two years relevant work experience.
b) Junior Engineer (Mechanical): (i) Candidate must possess Engineering Degree/ Diploma (03 years) in Mechanical Engineering. (ii) Candidate must have two years relevant work experience.
c) Junior Engineer (Electrical): (i) Candidate must possess Engineering Degree/ Diploma (03 years) in Electrical Engineering. (ii) Candidate must have two years relevant work experience.
d) Junior Engineer (E&M): (i) Candidate must possess Engineering Degree/ Diploma (03 years) in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering. (ii) Candidate must have two years relevant work experience.
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024)
Maximum age limit for Junior Engineer post in Central Public Works Department (CPWD) is 32 years and maximum 30 years for all other departments. as on 1st August 2024. Age relaxation in upper age is also applicable as per rules (please refer to official notification for details).

Scale of Pay
Candidates will be paid as per pay scale Rs 35400-112400/- (Level-06) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission.
Selection Process
Two papers will be conducted in Computer Based Examination (Paper-I & Paper-II). Both papers will be Objective Type containing Multiple Choice questions and will be both in Hindi & English. For details of Scheme & Syllabus of Examination, please refer to official notification linked below.

Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred only) for applying for the post. There are online payment options available to pay the fee which are BHIM UPI/ Net-Banking/ Credit or Debit card.
No fees charges for Female candidates, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) categories. Last date for payment of online fee is 19th March 2024 (2300 Hrs).

Educational Qualifications
There are three levels of posts based on qualification: (i) Matriculation Level (ii) Higher Secondary Level (+2) (iii) Graduation Level
- Matriculation Level: Candidate must have passed Matriculation examination.
- Higher Secondary Level: Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary School Examination (+2)
- Graduation Level: Candidate must possess Graduate Degree or above qualification as per the respective post.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2024)
Minimum age limit for almost all posts is 18 years (for some posts, minimum age limit is 21 years/ 22 years) and maximum age limit varies from 25 years to 42 years. Age relaxation in upper age is also applicable as per rules.
Selection Process
Three separate Computer Based Examinations will be conducted based on qualification of the candidates (one for each Matriculation, Higher Secondary, and Graduation). Computer Based Examinations will be Objective Type containing Multiple Choice questions.
Further, Skill Tests of a qualifying nature (Typing/ Data Entry/ Computer Proficiency Test, etc.) will also be conducted. After all tests, qualified candidates will be called for Document Verification. Examinations will be conducted in various Examinations Centers located across 09 regions in India.
