Educational Qualifications
1.Indian Economic Service: Candidate must hold a Postgraduate Degree in Economics/ Applied Economics/ Business Economics/ Econometrics
2.Indian Statistical Service: Candidate must hold a Graduate Degree with Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/ Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master’s degree in Statistics/ Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics
Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024)
Minimum age limit is 21 years and upper age should be below 30 years as on 1st August 2024 (Candidates born on or after 02 August 1994 and on or before 01 August 2003 are eligible to apply). Upper age limit is relaxable for reserved categories as per govt norms.
Selection Process
Selection will be made through a Combined competitive examination which will consist of two parts: (i) Written examination (Objective Type/ Descriptive Type). (ii) Viva voce. Questions paper will be in English only.
Indian Economic Service/ Indian Statistical Service Examination 2024 will be commencing from 21st June 2024 at Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Prayagraj, Jammu, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Bhopal, Lucknow, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Chennai, Patna, Cuttak, Shillong, Delhi, Shimla, Dispur, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad centres.
Application Fee
Application fee charges are Rs.200/- (Rupees Two Hundred only) which can be pay by cash in any Branch of State Bank of India (SBI), or online by using Debit Card/ Credit Card or Net banking facility of any bank. Female/ Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Benchmark Disability candidates do not have to pay any fee charges.
How to Apply
Candidates can apply online only for IES /ISS Examination through UPSC Official website www.upsconline.nic.in upto 30th April, 2024 till 18:00 Hours.
Candidate must have a valid and active email id and mobile numbers. Candidates first have to register at One Time Registration (OTR) platform and after that can fill online Application Form as per instructions.
